Matthew along with his brother Martin co-founded Hogan Brothers in 2005 and has been successfully leading the company as President. Matthew is responsible for project identification, marketing, and owner/developer relations. Matthew also has the executive responsibility for managing all financial operations and banking relationships of the company. Through his 30 years of experience in the Construction and Development industry, Matthew provides clients with a fair and honest insight from both the Development and Construction perspective.
Background and Relevant Experience
Matthew graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Economics and Finance with an Emphasis in International Finance. Matthew is also a graduate of New York University’s Real Estate Institute where he received a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment and Certificate in Hotel and Motel Operations. In addition, Matthew attended Cornell University’s Executive Professional Development Program in Hotel Development, Investment, and Finance.
Matthew began his construction and development career when he assumed a position with The John Hardy Group based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The company is regarded nationally as the hospitality’s and resort industry’s leading owner representative and construction management firm for REIT’s, Corporations, Investment Banks, Opportunity Funds, & Developers both nationally and internationally focused on large scale hospitality, resort and mixed-use projects. During his tenure with John Hardy Matthew was responsible for the pre-development and construction management of real estate assets which included major hospitality projects in New York City, Chicago, Miami, and other major U.S Cities. Matthew then worked for New York based developer Ed Trippe where he acted as a Project Executive of the residential component of the $500M hard cost Tuckers Point Club www.tuckerspoint.com mixed-use resort on the island of Bermuda. Tuckers Point Club is widely regarded as the number one high-end luxury resort in the western hemisphere. The Trippe family is noted for founding Pan Am Airlines and the Intercontinental Hotel chain.
