Matthew J. Hogan


Matthew co-founded Hogan Brothers with his brother Martin and has been successfully leading the company as President. He is responsible for project identification, marketing, and owner/developer relations. He also has the executive responsibility for managing all financial operations of the company. Through his 23 years of experience in the Construction and Development industry in roles such as Project Manager and Owners Representative he provides clients with a fair and honest position from the Developer and Contractor's perspective.

Background and Relevant Experience

Matthew Hogan graduated from Florida State University (1990) with a B.S. in Economics and Finance with an Emphasis in International Finance. Matthew also is a graduate of New York University's Real Estate Institute where he received Graduate Certificates in Real Estate Finance and Investment and Hotel and Motel Operations. In addition Matthew attended Cornell University's Professional Development Program in Hotel Development, Investment, and Finance. Matthew co-founded Hogan Brothers and as Chief Executive and President is responsible for the daily financial management and business development for the company. Matthew began his hospitality development and construction career when he assumed a position with The John Hardy Group based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The company is leading owner representative construction management firm for REITs, C-Corps, Investment Banks, Opportunity Funds, & Developers both nationally and internationally focused on large scale hospitality, resort and mixed-use sectors with over $5 billion dollars in project value completed to date. During his tenure which Matthew was responsible for the pre-development and construction management of $350 million in real estate assets which included major hospitality projects in New York City, Chicago, Miami and other major U.S Cities. Matthew's next career step was working for New York based developer Ed Trippe where he acted as a Project Director of residential component of $500M Tuckers Point Club (mixed-use resort on the island of Bermuda which is widely regarded as the number one resort in the western hemisphere. The Tripe family is noted for founding Pan Am Airlines and the Intercontinental Hotel chain.

Upon leaving his position and returning to the U.S in 2005 Matthew had the opportunity to join his brother Martin Hogan in founding Hogan Brothers International where he currently serves as President. Matthew has been involved with overseeing all aspects of the hospitality, condo and resort development and construction process from project inception to operational turnover to include the following projects valued at approx. $1 Billion:
